1. The first episode of Friends certainly gives no indication of greatness following. It's a mile away from being one "Friends" best episode, but as a pilot episode it does a good job of setting the scene and introducing us to the characters We are introduced to the six main characters room mates Joey Tribianni and Chandler Bing, brother and sister Monica and Ross Gellar, hippy .

4. Developer, an Album by Silkworm. Released 8 April on Matador (catalog no. OLE ; CD). CD Matador / OLE Developer 33 the obligatory fists-in-the-air rockers are here--"never met a man i didn't like" is outstanding, and one of the band's best songs--but it seems to me they only serve.

5. There's trouble brewing in Silkworm's New School/Old School radio/retail sampler, and it's not the kind of trouble that's very interesting. The 12 odds and ends from albums, singles, and split one-offs collected here suffer from a feeling of sameness and a sense that these songs are far too derivative of the band's more talented (or simply more focused) peers.

6. this album's slow, pondering pace suits it well, and sets it apart. no one could argue that developer doesn't stand alone in silkworm's catalog. it does. it's a soft, dark, nocturnal album, featuring loping, crawling, slithering epics, some of which--especially "sheep waits for wolf", which is one of my absolute favorite songs by any band, ever--feature some truly outstanding guitar 3/5(5).
